Job Title: Accountancy and Payroll Clerk

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountancy and Payroll Clerk to join our team at Instajobs Limited. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for providing an effective and accurate payroll service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and process payroll records and controls for all organisations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  2. Administer statutory and occupational schemes of leave, including sickness, accidents, maternity, and paternity.
  3. Maintain group email inboxes and respond to external and internal enquiries related to the payroll service.
  4. Ensure deductions from salaries are made in accordance with employee instructions and comply with financial regulations and HMRC requirements.
  5. Provide resilience across the service for cover when required.

Requirements

  1. Experience of payroll processing and recognised payroll qualification.
  2. Understanding of gross to net calculations and up-to-date knowledge of HMRC requirements.
  3. Aptitude for using and developing IT to support the payroll function.
  4. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, with ability to work in a small team without supervision.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences and flexible approach to duties and hours.
  6. Excellent timekeeping and organisation skills, with ability to keep calm under pressure.
