About the Role

This position is an exciting opportunity to work with North Lakes Children's Services, a well-established local provider of residential care and education for boys aged 6-18.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for the young people in our care. This includes supporting their daily routines, promoting personal hygiene, and encouraging socialisation.

Key responsibilities include attending medical appointments, supporting the plans on the activity planners, and completing daily paperwork. You will also be required to complete daily room checks and housecleaning tasks, as well as liaising with families and building relationships.

As a Keyworker, you will have a privileged role with the young people, and will be responsible for building strong bonds and providing emotional support.

Requirements
  • Flexibility in your availability is essential, as the role will involve sleep-in nights and shift work of 14 hours.
  • You must have an understanding of the issues that face young people in care.
  • A Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is required.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills are essential.
  • You must be willing to learn and work well as part of a small team.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
