About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In-House Legal Counsel to join our team at Creditsafe. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice and guidance to our business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance to our business units on commercial law matters, including contract negotiations, compliance, and risk management.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address legal issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Review and negotiate commercial contracts, including customer and supplier agreements.
- Provide training and guidance to our sales and customer support teams on legal matters, including contract compliance and data protection.
- Contribute to the development of our company's data protection compliance efforts, including GDPR and Brexit implications.
- Evaluate the impact of new and amended laws, regulations, and case law on our business, and provide advice to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law.
- Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of commercial law, including contract law, data protection, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
