Role Overview

As a Corporate Legal Advisor, you will be the key legal resource for our UK operations, ensuring compliance and providing legal guidance across various business functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main legal contact for all compliance and legal matters within the UK division, working closely with the head office as needed.
  • Manage and review legal agreements and compliance documents, including standard commercial contracts for both clients and suppliers, as well as tailored agreements and internal procedural documentation for departments such as sales and customer due diligence.
  • Assist sales teams in addressing legal and compliance inquiries, participating in contract negotiations, responding to tenders, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide support in managing supplier relationships by advising on and negotiating supplier agreements.
  • Offer legal advice to customer support and management teams on various issues, including contract disputes, compliance concerns, and other legal inquiries.
  • Contribute to the organization’s data protection compliance initiatives, providing insights on GDPR and other relevant regulations, while assessing the implications of legislative changes.
  • Analyze the effects of new and revised laws, regulations, and case law on contractual relationships, and provide informed advice to relevant business units.

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor with a preference for 2-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law, showcasing expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Experience in the financial and data sectors or in-house legal practice is beneficial but not essential.
