Job Summary

The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Fellow to join its Bone Infection Unit. This is a twelve-month fixed-term contract, commencing August 2024.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide teaching and advice to medical students from Birmingham University while on their oncology attachment to the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
  • Contribute to the Hospital's clinical audit programme, working in accordance with Trust and Royal College of Surgeons criteria.
  • Participate in research sessions, focusing on ongoing research and audit commitments.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with consultants in orthopaedic oncology and complex arthroplasty. The appointee will work under the supervision of bone infection specialists, including clinics, ward care, and operating theatre sessions.

Requirements
  • Registration with the GMC, with a licence to practice.
  • FRCS (Orthopaedic) or an appropriate higher surgical qualification.
  • Significant experience as an orthopaedic trainee.
