Assistant Team Leader

Premier Recruitment Group is partnering with a well-established care organisation in Canterbury to recruit a forward-thinking Assistant Team Leader to join their team. This is a full-time and permanent role. We are seeking a candidate with experience in supporting individuals with complex needs, learning disabilities, autistic spectrum, and challenging behaviour.
Main Responsibilities:
- To supervise and lead a team of support workers to enable service users to lead fulfilling and satisfying lives.
- To act as a role model for staff, promoting understanding and empathy towards service users.
- To engage with service users and staff, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing individual support plans.
- To maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and other stakeholders while respecting confidentiality.
- To work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality care.
Requirements:
- Experience in working with complex individuals and a Level 3 diploma in health and social care.
- Positive behaviour training is an advantage, but the ability to demonstrate understanding and communication skills is essential.
- Confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for working with vulnerable adults and a commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding.
