Lead Fraud Prevention Analyst

The Acorn Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Fraud Prevention Analyst to join our Policy Fraud team.

This role involves extracting and analyzing fraud data, building and optimizing counter-fraud rule sets, and collaborating with our counter-fraud, pricing, and underwriting departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive counter-fraud performance through detection and prevention at point-of-quote, point-of-sale, mid-term adjustments, and renewal.
  • Own, maintain, and develop counter-fraud rules in SIRA, Iovation, and other counter-fraud platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to identify gaps and resolve errors within counter-fraud platforms.
  • Report on policy fraud strategic and operational performance using SQL, Excel, and PBI.
  • Collaborate with pricing to understand and find solutions to fraud and its impact on loss ratios.
  • Collaborate with wider business areas to understand and report on fraud risk.
  • Assist in promoting data integrity across the business.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies regarding Financial Crime, TCF, GDPR, and FCA regulations.
  • Maintain and extend professional relationships with intelligence suppliers, professional bodies, and law enforcement agencies.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience working with rule-based counter-fraud systems such as SIRA, Iovation, Hunter, Shift, Fraudstar, or BAE.
  • Experience building and optimizing policy fraud rule sets.
  • Exposure to organized fraud and application fraud risk and investigations.
  • Experience working with SQL, Excel, and/or Power BI.
  • Demonstrable understanding of compliance legislation within the financial services sector.
  • Good time management and organization skills, with the ability to consistently deliver against timescales and deadlines.
