Marshalls: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Marshalls, a leading manufacturer of hard landscaping and building products. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining site equipment and machinery, providing fault diagnosis, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in maintenance within a continuous process control industry, a recognized apprenticeship, and relevant electrical and mechanical qualifications. They should possess excellent communication skills, a good level of computer literacy, and a flexible approach to work. Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all site equipment, machinery, and associated services to a safe and acceptable standard.
  • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance and provide input into improving the system.
  • Provide mechanical/electrical support in the event of breakdowns.
  • Work and liaise with a range of internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Confirm work done into Maintenance Management System (SAP) complete with technical feedback.
  • Where necessary provide input into feasibility studies, Capex, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety, environment, and quality management systems.
  • Prioritize workload.
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
  • Liaise with stores to identify relevant and correct stock items.
  • Work within 5s methodology to maintain the workplace to a high standard.
  • To carry out other tasks as deemed necessary, that are within the job holder's capability.

The successful applicant will ideally have several years' experience of maintenance within a continuous process control industry, and must have completed a relevant recognized apprenticeship and hold relevant electrical and mechanical qualification. Applicants should be enthusiastic and highly self-motivated with a flexible approach to their work. This will be combined with the ability to work efficiently on your own initiative, and work as part of a team. You will have a solid understanding of engineering principles and a desire to progress within the manufacturing sector. Must possess a good level of computer literacy and have excellent communication skills.
