Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at BMR Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our Manufacturing Systems Team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes within our Somerset division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain lean manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Design and implement new manufacturing cells, including the specification and purchasing of tooling and equipment.
  • Conduct risk assessments and create safe systems of work to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve non-conformities and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Implement and maintain configuration control of operational documentation in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and other relevant regulations.

Requirements

  • Equivalent experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree, qualification, or equivalent.
  • Strong process documentation authoring skills, including writing procedures and work instructions.
  • Experience in optimizing production processes and providing production support.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively, and build working relationships at all levels.
  • Full comprehension of engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Basic CAD skills for layout design and design model interrogation.
  • MRP/ERP system use – SAP.
  • DFM/PFMEA awareness.
  • Experience in implementing change, change management, and project management.
