Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at BMR Solutions Ltd in Somerset. As a key member of our Manufacturing Systems Team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes within our manual assembly production facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain safe and lean assembly and test processes for existing and new products
  • Document, implement, and own Lean manufacturing processes according to guidelines
  • Be accountable for process definition, setup, and optimization within allocated manufacturing cells
  • Implement continuous improvement activities and projects
  • Design or optimize cell layouts, implement and maintain risk assessments, and specify and purchase tooling and equipment
  • Ensure configuration control of operational documentation and resolve non-conformities

Requirements:

  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Process documentation authoring, writing of procedures, and work instructions
  • Experience in optimizing production processes and providing production support
  • Problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
  • Full comprehension of engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams
  • Basic CAD skills for layout design and design model interrogation
  • MRP/ERP system use – SAP
  • Risk assessments and compliance with health and safety, environmental, and quality regulations
