Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

Randstad Technologies Recruitment is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team in Clevedon. This is a full-time permanent position with a salary bracket of 37,000- 45,000 depending on experience + a 7.5% annual bonus and other benefits.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Lean manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing cell layouts to enhance production flow.
  • Implement and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work for allocated manufacturing cells.
  • Specify and purchase tooling and equipment for allocated manufacturing cells.
  • Ensure configuration control of operational documentation in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 regulations.
  • Resolve or support non-conformities impacting the manufacturing process.
  • Eliminate routing and material variances with allocated manufacturing cells.
  • React to production feedback and manufacturing lessons learnt to influence design revision or correction.
Requirements:
  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering degree or engineering qualification.
  • Process documentation authoring and writing of procedures and work instructions.
  • Experience in optimizing production processes and providing production support.
  • Problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis tools in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Technical knowledge including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics.
  • Basic CAD skills for layout design and design model interrogation.
  • MRP/ERP system use - SAP.
  • DFM/PFMEA awareness.
  • Experience in implementing change and change management.
  • Risk assessments and understanding of compliance requirements to health and safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
  • Project management experience, including risk, schedule, and cost.
