About the Role:We are seeking a skilled Sales Director to join our Land Systems operating division in SAAB UK Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for winning business for Saab's Ground Combat and Missile Systems portfolio of products, which are critical for the protection and survivability of the UK's armed forces.
Key Responsibilities:- Win business through product sales for the Ground Combat and Missile Systems portfolio of products.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships with key stakeholders, including the British Army.
- Lead the Winning Business process from market appraisal to tender, ensuring effective prioritisation and time management.
- Conduct market, customer, and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Programme Sales Representatives (PSRs) on respective projects.
- Participate in contract and commercial negotiations, acting as a bridge between capability requirements and engineering realities.
- Maintain and evaluate relations with other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for Business-to-Business opportunities.
- Experience and understanding of the UK Defence acquisition process and budgets.
- Documented experience of marketing and sales or other relevant sectors.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills within both defence and industry communities.
- Effective prioritisation and time management for both personal time and team performance.
- Experience in contributing to a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
