About the Role
The Curriculum Specialist for the School of Medicine plays a vital role in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the curriculum for medical education. This position will collaborate with faculty, clinicians, community members, and subject-matter experts to ensure the curriculum meets national standards and prepares learners for excellence in community-based primary healthcare.
The Specialist will integrate innovative teaching methods, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance the learning experience while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Additionally, they will monitor the curriculum's impact and facilitate continuous improvement by incorporating evidence-based teaching strategies and feedback from partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum for medical education
- Collaborate with faculty, clinicians, and community members to ensure curriculum meets national standards
- Integrate innovative teaching methods and emerging technologies to enhance learning experience
- Monitor curriculum's impact and facilitate continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or related discipline
- Seven years of related experience in pedagogical curriculum development
- Experience preparing and maintaining curriculum that adheres to medical education accreditation standards
- Knowledge of learning technology, educational theory principles, and effective curriculum development
