We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our Engineering Management Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our engineering department and business.

About the Role

This role involves leading the maintenance team, focusing on Health and Safety, Preventative Maintenance, Asset Management, and Customer Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Health and Safety in the Area of responsibility
  • Preventative maintenance and work order flow
  • Asset management and uptime of equipment
  • Customer service focus to production colleagues
  • Collaboration with other members of the engineering management team
  • Promotion and facilitation of lean, problem solving and RCA activities
  • Developing strong communication links and support to the site shift managers to aid the planning and execution of tasks
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An HND (or equivalent) in Engineering or vast experience in a management position
  • A recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
  • An excellent knowledge and competence in maintenance engineering
  • An understanding of failure analysis and maintenance strategy
  • A good knowledge of plant processes and equipment
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of 'Windows Office' suite
