About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Preston. This role will play a critical part in driving the success of our engineering services contracts.

Key Responsibilities

">

As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

">
  • ">
  • Providing superior quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts">
  • Coordinating design and producing design documents and drawings, taking due account of health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards">
  • Working closely with our RDL to ensure the design process is integrated for the benefit of the contract as a whole">
  • Ensuring designs take account of environmental issues">
  • Controlling members of staff in designing relevant discipline aspects of water and sewage treatment plants">
  • Having a relevant discipline Engineering degree">
  • Good general knowledge of all aspects of water treatment, e.g. mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, and project management">
  • A flexible mind, with the ability to assimilate large amounts of different data at one time">
  • Computer literacy">
  • Driving license">

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines">
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills">
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools">
  • Experience of working in a similar role within the water or sewage treatment industry">
