In this role as a Mental Health Nurse Specialist, you will be working in a 16-bed specialist rehabilitation service for women with a Mental Illness and/or Personality Disorder, located in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
The service offers a blended model of rehabilitation that combines a traditional rehabilitation environment with single and dual occupancy apartments, providing a seamless care pathway for women with a Mental Illness and/or Personality Disorder and a history of trauma and/or attachment disorders.
As a skilled and compassionate nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and promoting positive risk taking, which enables self-reliance and builds trust and self-esteem for our service users.
Salary
We offer an annual salary of £35,793, reflecting your skills and experience. This is a competitive rate, taking into account the cost of living in the area and industry standards.
About the Role
You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of female adults with mental health conditions, ensuring they receive high-quality care and support throughout their stay.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Providing effective and compassionate nursing care to service users, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided, observing and reporting any changes or concerns.
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Promoting positive teamwork and supporting colleagues in their roles.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A relevant nursing qualification, such as RMN, RNLD, or RGN.
- NMC registration and a valid PIN number.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with service users, families, and colleagues.
- A flexible approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
