About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ASD in a Reception class at a Primary School in North Somerset.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with special needs and be able to provide emotional, physical, and learning support to help the pupil achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the pupil's emotional, physical, and learning needs in a Reception class
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Foster positive relationships with the pupil and their family to help them achieve their learning goals
  • Organize the learning environment and ensure adequate learning materials are available
  • Assist with behavior management programs and ensure pupil safety
