We are seeking a skilled Trusts and Foundations Officer to join our development team at the British Library.
The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and maximising income from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources to support the Library's transformational ambitions over the next decade.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of projects, including conservation, major exhibitions, learning programmes, and digitisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure funding from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.
- Manage a portfolio of trusts and foundations, developing cultivation and stewardship plans to secure funding.
- Work closely with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, the Head of Trusts and Foundations, and colleagues across the organisation to devise compelling fundraising proposals.
- Support the Trusts team's stewardship plans by managing records on our database and invitation lists, and helping organise and assist with visits and events.
We are looking for a confident individual with demonstrable experience of trusts fundraising, including excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
The successful candidate will have the ability to deal with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including senior foundation staff and trustees.
