We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Teignbridge OPMH. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with experience in managing complex caseloads and providing expert assessment and treatment. You will be a skilled communicator, able to work effectively with individuals, families, and carers, as well as other healthcare professionals.
As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision and guidance to junior colleagues. You will also participate in team and service development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality comprehensive mental health services to individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Manage a defined caseload, providing expert assessment and treatment.
- Contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision and guidance to junior colleagues.
- Participate in team and service development, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver care packages, including assessing, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Review all social care packages within relevant timescales and focus on integration within existing community resources.
- Deliver services using a recovery and strengths approach, with a focus on promoting recovery and well-being.
- Provide specialist advice to referrers and other multi-disciplinary staff regarding the care of individuals.
- Ensure assessment and treatment plans are holistic, outcome-focused, and take into account the physical health and social needs of the individual.
- A professional mental health qualification and registration (e.g., RMN, BSc/Diploma in OT, SROT, Social Work Degree, or equivalent).
- Non-Medical Prescriber and/or another recognised therapy qualification.
- Postgraduate qualification relevant to specialism.
- Training to level 3 in Safeguarding Adults and Children and Young People: roles and competencies for Health Care staff.
