About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our community mental health services, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality comprehensive mental health services to individuals with complex mental health difficulties and their carers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined caseload with a focus on providing expert assessment and treatment for individuals with complex mental health difficulties and their carers.
  • Liaise with a wide range of statutory and non-statutory agencies to ensure the provision of consistent and well-coordinated care.
  • Contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision for other members and participating in team and service development, and evaluation.
  • Develop and deliver care packages, including assessing, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to ensure that individuals receive the best possible care and support.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure that individuals receive a holistic and integrated approach to care.

Person Specification

  • A professional mental health qualification and registration (RMN, BSc/Diploma in OT, SROT, Social Work Degree, or equivalent).
  • Substantial experience of managing an extensive and complex caseload of clients with a range of complex mental health presentations.
  • Working within a community mental health setting in either the statutory or voluntary sector.
  • Providing clinical supervision.
