As a Financial Analyst at Oxford Instruments, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and informing strategic decisions through accurate and insightful financial analysis. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days spent in the office, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Your key responsibilities will include monthly reconciliation of inventory with detailed analysis of inventory held by part number to ensure accuracy, preparation and review of Labour and Overhand in Inventory, posting as necessary, liaising with the regional office to understand inventory held outside the factory, working closely with the Operations team to provide finance resource when needed, preparing the WIP reconciliation and reviewing anomalies, monthly balance sheet reconciliations of all stock accounts (including any stock provision accounts), ensuring appropriate levels of inventory are being maintained, annually updating base costs for all items held in inventory, and quarterly reviewing inventory held in regional offices. In addition to these responsibilities, you'll also prepare monthly revenue analysis, margin analysis against prior year/budget/forecast, and review ledger entries to ensure direct cost of sales and other cost of sales are correctly reported. You'll also reconcile the orderbook and prepare the quality report, working closely with the external audit team to ensure timely delivery of information for interim and annual audits. We're looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in providing a customer-focused, high-quality service in an accounting environment. You'll be a competent computer user with strong skills in MS Excel and other management information systems. We estimate this role will come with a salary range of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
