Job Summary

We're seeking a seasoned Program Management Leader to join our team. This hybrid role will work from our Oxford office for an average of 2-3 days a week. As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for managing designated projects, ensuring they're delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Governance: Establish and maintain project management governance structures, ensuring consistency of approach and adherence to current best practices.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including the Regulatory Affairs and Quality teams, to ensure compliance with necessary standards and uphold the Quality Management System.
  • Communication and Expectation Management: Develop and maintain clear professional communication channels, ensuring stakeholders are informed and expectations are managed effectively.
  • Project Planning and Budgeting: Develop and manage project work packages, including project charters, financial needs assessments, financial budgets, change control, project risk assessments, project plans, resource loading plans, stakeholder analyses, and communication plans.
  • Project Scorecards and Performance Reporting: Develop and present project scorecards to communicate project key performance indicators to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Resource Allocation and Management: Review resource loading plans with Functional Directors on a weekly basis and work with them to determine mitigation actions in the event of resource constraints.
  • Financial Management: Review monthly forecasts and budget adherence with the Financial Controller, reporting any adverse financial deviations immediately.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct reviews to assess project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 3 years of direct project management experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries or equivalent.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, commercially astute with the ability to negotiate with suppliers and multi-functional internal stakeholders.
  • Education: A first or upper second BEng or MEng degree in an engineering or life sciences subject from a leading university, and formal project management training from a recognized accreditation body, such as PMP.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from £60,000 to £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including healthcare and retirement plans, work-life balance, and opportunities for ongoing professional development.
