Threat Intelligence and Response Director

We're proud to announce an exciting career opportunity for a seasoned Cyber Intelligence and Threat Team Lead to join our dynamic team at Police Digital Service. This role offers a unique chance to shape our response to cyber threats and vulnerabilities impacting UK Policing, leveraging your exceptional skills and experience in cyber threat intelligence, malware analysis, and threat hunting. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with strategic stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge threat intelligence, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and malware analysis.
Responsibilities:
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading the NMC's Cyber Threat functions, including direction and coordination of day-to-day tactical and operational delivery of threat intelligence, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and malware analysis.
- Responding to cyber incidents and vulnerabilities impacting UK Policing, leveraging your expertise in threat intelligence, threat hunting, and malware analysis.
- Collaborating closely with other cyber security functions to support the continual improvement of wider capabilities.
- Evaluating current and emerging tools and best practices relating to the analysis of advanced persistent threats, including TTPs of attackers.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to threat intelligence and threat hunting analysts.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- Broad experience in cyber threat intelligence, malware analysis, and threat hunting.
- Deep understanding of cyber adversaries, including their TTPs and adversary lifecycle.
- Proven track record of success in a leadership role in a cyber security function.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex cyber issues to relevant audiences.
- Capacity to work independently, with minimal oversight, and take ownership of deliverables.
What We Offer:
