About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced National Cyber Manager to join our team at Police Digital Services. As a key member of our cybersecurity function, you will be responsible for leading and driving our cyber threat intelligence and incident response efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of our cyber threat intelligence strategy, including the direction and coordination of day-to-day tactical and operational delivery of threat intelligence, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and malware analysis.
  • Lead the cyber threat technical response to incidents and critical vulnerabilities impacting UK Policing, working closely with all other cyber security functions to support the continual improvement of wider capabilities.
  • Act as an escalation point for, and provide coaching and mentoring to, threat intelligence and threat hunting analysts.
  • Cyber incidents can arise 24/7, so ability to support and lead operations out-of-hours as required.

Requirements:

  • Breadth of experience across cyber threat intelligence, malware analysis, and threat hunting, with the ability to operate in all of these functions.
  • Experience investigating, managing, and coordinating the cyber threat response to cyber incidents.
  • Excellent knowledge of adversarial cyber actors, including their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and the adversary lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role in a cyber security function.
  • An active interest in coaching and mentoring others.
