We have an exceptional opportunity for a Compliance Advisor to join our Land Recovery team, which was acquired by AIUK as part of our broader circular economy strategy. The Land Recovery team is a well-established, multifaceted business operating in various industries including aggregates, recycling, earthworks, civils, rail, and plant hire.

This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and policies, contributing significantly to sustainable land management and recovery efforts across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To contribute to the development and maintenance of quality, safety, and environmental management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards, as well as our wider business management system.
  • To support the collation and monitoring of quality, safety, and environmental performance KPIs, preparing concise reports for the annual management review and to meet requirements from other accreditation and certification bodies.
  • To represent the business during external audits and authority visits, working closely with the Safety & Compliance team.
  • To possess a thorough understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation applicable to both Rail and Non-Rail sectors, ensuring compliance in these areas.
  • To promote a positive culture across the business.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • A proven track record of success in compliance with a strong understanding and exposure to ISO, RISQS, FORS.
  • Experience in the rail industry (desirable).
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable).
  • A full UK driving licence with a willingness to travel to sites around the UK.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (essential).

  • A competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
