Job Title: Heritage Learning Assistant

Join our team at Lancashire County Council and contribute to the development and delivery of our curriculum-related loans service for schools, youth, and adult audiences.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for helping children and adults connect with heritage and learning. The successful candidate will work on own initiative, operate the delivery and maintenance of the museum loans box service to schools and adult and community groups.

The role will include the promotion and maintenance of the subscription scheme, further record keeping, development and creation of new loans boxes, and the delivery of Teacher Training sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and maintain the museum loans box service to schools and adult and community groups
  • Promote and maintain the subscription scheme
  • Develop and create new loans boxes
  • Deliver Teacher Training sessions
  • Work on own initiative to develop and deliver the curriculum-related loans service
Requirements

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and engaging individual with a passion for helping children and adults connect with heritage and learning. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the importance of heritage and learning, and will be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality services to our customers.
