Practice Plus Group is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at HMP Winchester. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Pharmacy Services, which will be part of a comprehensive healthcare package based on the prison's needs.

Working on the prison wings, you can expect to be involved in everything from medicine management, administering medications, patient counselling, and medicines reconciliation. You may be required to participate in certain activities concerning the day-to-day operational management of the unit and must be trained and competent to take on these additional responsibilities.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate assessment skills, including the undertaking of risk assessments, and have sound patient counselling skills, treating patients with respect and dignity at all times.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis and hold an ACT qualification with current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You will also need relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and a multi-disciplinary team.
