About the Role

We're looking for a skilled Implementation Architect to join our Analytics Capabilities team at Tesco. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in defining, prioritizing, and delivering our self-serve analytics strategy, user behavioural data tracking, and optimization capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coding, QA, and configuration of analytics tracking code.
  • Implementing TMS (GTM) changes and supporting advanced platform implementations through TMS.
  • Integrating data sources via web APIs.
  • Following a data quality assurance process, including implementation, measurement, and user acceptance testing.
  • Transferring knowledge of business processes and requirements to development teams.
  • Collaborating with Product, Engineering, Content, and Marketing teams to collect business requirements and translate them into effective tracking requirements.
Requirements
  • Highly numerate with a University degree of 2:1 or higher in a quantitative discipline or relevant experience.
  • Experience in Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a focus on coding core tracking methods in JavaScript and following proper release cycles.
  • Exposure or working knowledge of tracking implementations for Adobe and Google Analytics 4, including technical API methods.
  • Working knowledge of handling APIs, event listeners, and vanilla JavaScript, with the ability to write clean, readable, and performant code.
  • Prior experience of using analytics, data storage, and data processing is desirable.
  • Understanding of digital analytics industry, tools, and working practices.
  • Understanding or working knowledge of Performance Marketing, Segmentation, Profiling, and AB testing.
  • Prior experience in implementing Analytics for native mobile apps, available SDKs, and the ability to demonstrate a clear process of providing requirements, QA, and sign-off.
  • Ability to communicate with people of different skills and levels.
