Job Title: Tradecraft (Open-Source Intelligence/OSINT) Instructor (FTC)

Janes is seeking a highly skilled Tradecraft (Open-Source Intelligence/OSINT) Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our intelligence community, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class OSINT training content and instruction to our global clients.

About the Role

The Tradecraft Instructor will work closely with our Tradecraft Team, SMEs, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver OSINT training. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading or co-delivering training on the exploitation of publicly available information (PAI) and social media
  • Contributing to the curriculum development for Janes OSINT tradecraft
  • Creating and facilitating training courses to help customers understand OSINT tools and techniques
  • Learning, maintaining, and developing OSINT skills/knowledge
  • Creating innovative content to support key learning objectives (KLOs)
  • Identifying training needs
  • Managing and extending the learning content within the Janes tradecraft repository
Key Objectives

Within the first 30 days, you will co-lead at least one key in-person course to a UK customer. Within 60 days, you will work with key stakeholders to understand the Key Learning Objectives (KLOs) for JT offerings and internal tradecraft-related training, content, and key customers for JT offerings. In the first 100 days, you will support the development and standardisation of Janes tradecraft, including internal needs, tools, and techniques, and course material. In the first 6 months, you will consistently deliver high-quality training content and instruction to multiple customers, working with the Head of Tradecraft and Subscriber Services, other instructors, and SMEs to finalise phase 1 of aligning Janes Tradecraft training KLOs, content, and assessments across different delivery channels.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years' demonstrated analysis experience
  • A proven record of effective instruction and training delivery, preferably in the intelligence domain
  • Experience in working in the OSINT domain
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in OSINT tools and techniques
  • Willingness to travel and work with Defence Sector customers
Desirable Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience are highly desirable:

  • Relevant qualification/qualifications in training delivery, such as a PGCE or DTTT
  • Must be eligible for or hold current UK security clearance
  • Strong resource-planning and problem-solving skills
  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders on a variety of concurrent projects
