About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a reputable primary school in the Aldershot area. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to students, including one-on-one assistance for children with additional needs.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to help plan and deliver lessons across different subjects.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment within the school and during out-of-school activities.
  • Implement school policies as outlined in documentation and as directed by the Headteacher.
  • Represent the school positively within the community.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information encountered during duties.
  • Adhere to the school's Equal Opportunities policy.
  • Follow the school's Health and Safety policy and ensure procedures are followed during accidents or incidents.
  • Supervise and manage pupil behaviour throughout the school day, including lunchtime and breaks.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as an LSA or in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
  • A passion for education and supporting students' academic and personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patient, adaptable, and a positive attitude towards challenges.
  • Experience with SEN children is an asset.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Relevant qualifications in Teaching Assistance or Education are advantageous but not essential.
