Job Title: Infrastructure Lead Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead Engineer to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will play a pivotal role in the design, build, and management of our on-premise servers, virtualisation, and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Build Infrastructure: You will be responsible for designing and building our on-premise servers, virtualisation, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  2. Collaboration and Communication: You will work closely with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  3. Infrastructure Monitoring and Maintenance: You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the performance and availability of our infrastructure, including regular maintenance such as patching and updates.
  4. Project Leadership: You will lead infrastructure projects from initial scoping to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  5. Documentation and Reporting: You will ensure that our network and infrastructure documentation is up-to-date and accurate, and provide regular reports on infrastructure performance, incidents, and improvements.

Requirements:

  1. Infrastructure Experience: You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience with infrastructure, including virtualisation, physical servers, and storage.
  2. Technical Skills: You will be proficient in Windows Server 2012-2019, AD, DNS, DHCP, Failover Manager, and other relevant technologies.
  3. Cloud Experience: You will have experience with Azure Management, including CM's, NSG rules, Storage accounts, and other relevant cloud technologies.
  4. Networking Experience: You will have excellent hands-on experience configuring and maintaining network devices, including Firewalls, Switches, WiFi, and Routers.
  5. DR Implementation and Testing: You will have experience with DR implementation and testing.
  6. Networking Principles: You will have in-depth working knowledge of networking principles and technologies, including VLAN, CIDR, LLDP, VRRP, SNP, and other relevant technologies.
  7. Hardware and Software Patching: You will have experience with hardware and software patching and firmware upgrades.
  8. Asset Management: You will have ownership of asset management.
  9. Project Work: You will have the ability to work through scoping a solution through to implementation and maintenance.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Professional Certifications: You will have professional certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/MCSA/AZ-700/900.
  2. Microsoft Dynamics Experience: You will have demonstrable experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
  3. Power BI Experience: You will have demonstrable experience with Power BI.
