Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Lead Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a pivotal role in the design, build, and management of our on-premise servers, virtualisation, and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Build Infrastructure: Work on the design, build, and management of our on-premise servers, virtualisation, and cloud infrastructure, including physical and virtual hardware.
  2. Ensure Scalability and Reliability: Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business requirements.
  3. Monitor and Maintain Performance: Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of our infrastructure, including regular maintenance such as patching and updates.
  4. Lead Infrastructure Projects: Lead infrastructure projects from initial scoping to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  5. Document and Report: Ensure our network and infrastructure documentation is up-to-date and accurate, and report on infrastructure performance, incidents, and improvements.
Requirements
  1. Infrastructure Experience: Demonstrable knowledge and experience with infrastructure, including virtualisation, physical servers, and storage.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficient in Windows Server 2012-2019, AD, DNS, DHCP, Failover Manager, and Azure Management.
  3. Backup and Maintenance: Demonstrable experience with implementation of backup maintenance, including Veeam or similar.
  4. On-Prem Data Centre Maintenance: Experience with on-prem data centre maintenance and management.
  5. Azure Management: Demonstrable Azure Management skills, including CM's, NSG rules, Storage accounts, and effective contribution to cloud migration.
  6. Network Devices: Excellent hands-on experience configuring and maintaining network devices, including Firewalls, Switches, WiFi, and Routers.
  7. DR Implementation and Testing: Experience with DR implementation and testing.
  8. Networking Principles: In-depth working knowledge of networking principles and technologies, including VLAN, CIDR, LLDP, VRRP, SNP, and more.
  9. Hardware and Software Patching: Experience with hardware and software patching, firmware upgrades, and asset management.
  10. Project Ownership: Ownership of project work, with the ability to work through scoping a solution through to implementation and maintenance.
Desirable
  1. Professional Certifications: Professional certifications, such as CCNA/CCNP/MCSA/AZ-700/900.
  2. Microsoft Dynamics: Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
  3. Power BI: Demonstrable experience with Power BI.
