Job Title: Head Waiter/Waitress

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Head Waiter/Waitress to join our team at The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, leading by example, and ensuring hotel quality standards are maintained while achieving maximum revenue and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work well as a team to ensure swift and efficient service to all our guests.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and carry out these requests courteously and helpfully. Look to resolve all complaints during each shift and log complaints for further follow-up.
  • Identify opportunities for up-selling and promoting when appropriate.
  • Assist with the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant floor, ensuring facilities are maintained to the standards required.
  • Complete quality Mise en Place including cleaning, setups, and handovers.
  • Report and follow up on any comments and guest queries as they occur.

Requirements:

An ideal candidate is a person with a clear passion for service. Someone who engages with guests easily and is able to use their intuition and creativity to deliver a wonderful experience for everyone. The ability to multitask and prioritise is important, as well as the ability to work well under pressure with the biggest smile. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, produce quality work and be flexible to work early morning shifts. Shifts may vary.
