Job Overview

Arden White is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in St Neots. This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects from concept to production, with a focus on developing innovative mechanical systems.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive design and development, with strong engineering skills and knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic design.

A competitive salary of £60,000 per annum is on offer, along with a range of benefits including early finish on Fridays, 32 days annual leave, and a company pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to design engineering activities, deciding on the best approach to achieve technical requirements and cost, weight, and quality targets.
  • Manage risks within projects, take pre-emptive action to mitigate risks, and lead action to quickly resolve any issues that arise.
  • Maintain visibility of key deliverables and ensure everyone is working towards their achievement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive design and development.
  • Dynamic, assertive, and highly capable, with strong engineering skills and knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic design.
  • Excellent organisational skills, motivated, self-disciplined, and a strong eye for detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build respect and loyalty within a team, with customers, and within the business.
