We are seeking an experienced Senior or Principal EICA Engineer to join our team at Cambridge, with hybrid working available.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will report directly to the EICA Integration Lead and be responsible for providing high-quality Engineering Design services to support the company's growth and success. Your role will involve coordinating the design process, producing design documents and drawings, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, specifications, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cost-effective design layouts that meet project requirements and can be constructed and commissioned effectively.
  • Maintain competitiveness by utilising standard practices wherever possible and providing estimates and feedback for the Proposals department.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless design processes and deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement procedures and processes that drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with all stakeholders, including internal and external teams.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of water and sewage treatment principles.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring staff in designing relevant discipline aspects of water and sewage treatment plants.
  • Membership of a professional institution, preferably chartered or nearing chartership.
  • Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic plant layouts.
  • Excellent general knowledge of water treatment disciplines, including mechanical, process, electrical, and project management.
  • Flexible mind with excellent problem-solving skills and ability to assimilate large amounts of data.
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently, and convincingly.
  • Proficient in computer applications and tools.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
