New Reflexions is a leading childcare organisation providing care, education, and therapy services to young people who have experienced trauma in their lives. We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Payroll Manager to join our dynamic finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and process end-to-end monthly payroll for employees using Sage software, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.
  • Calculate and process statutory deductions, including PAYE, National Insurance, and pension contributions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring all changes are updated promptly.
  • Manage and reconcile time and attendance records.
  • Upload payments to the bank account each month once payroll is finalised.
  • Ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation, tax laws, and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports to relevant authorities.
  • Process employee benefits, including pension contributions, salary sacrifice car scheme, bike to work, employee loans, and other benefits.
  • Respond to employee enquiries regarding payroll matters.
  • Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues.
  • Generate and analyse payroll reports for Management KPI information.
  • Complete payroll year-end transactions and assist in the audit process.
  • Report on various information to HR and other stakeholders monthly.
  • Provide relevant payroll information for financial reporting purposes.
  • Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination of payroll processes.
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements.
  • Develop and review processes and controls.
  • Manage P11Ds and Annual Returns.
  • Process P60s, P45s, start letters, and induction documentation.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll regulations and taxation.
  • Confident in Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Sage payroll.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
