Regional Practice Seeks Payroll Administrator

This regional accounting practice, located in the Midlands and Northern Home counties, is expanding its client portfolio and seeks a skilled Payroll Administrator.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process for their assigned clients across various industries. This involves ensuring compliance with regulations, engaging with clients to resolve queries, and generating reports as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll data received from clients on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Provide timely reports and summary information for payments
  • Manage PAYE registrations and auto-enrolment of new employees and leavers
  • Liaise with clients and handle HMRC requests
  • Perform additional calculations, including JRS, holiday pay, redundancy, CIS, SSP, SMP, and SPP

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in payroll administration within an accountancy practice or bureau setting is highly desirable
  • Candidates from industry backgrounds with relevant payroll experience will also be considered
  • Practical knowledge of accounting systems such as Xero, Sage, or BrightPay is essential
  • The ability to use initiative, self-manage, multitask, organize workload, work quickly, and accurately meet regular deadlines
