In this critical role at Jaguar & Land Rover, you'll be instrumental in driving operational excellence across our corporate teams. Your focus will be on governance, ensuring our vehicles meet worldwide regulatory standards and markets entry criteria.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Certification Engineer to join JLR's Quality & Product Compliance department. As a Certification Engineer, you will support the delivery of Certification and Homologation, from concept to end of volume production, ensuring all legislative requirements compliance on JLR programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop strategies to meet new regulatory requirements and policies.
  2. Report program performance against agreed-upon timelines and activities.
  3. Contribute to assessments of future and existing product modification procedures.
  4. Respond to Product Direction Letters with regulatory requirements and necessary steps.
  5. Assist in examining legislation from across the world to acquire clarification on specific issues affecting vehicle programs.
  6. Maintain correct records for component and system approval Type Approval certifications.
  7. Assist with component homologation enquiries from internal departments.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in component/vehicle legislative function involving analysis of vehicle safety and interpretation of legislation.
  2. Knowledge of certification and type approval systems/component and procedures.
  3. Understanding of engineering release and control procedures.
  4. Ability to read and understand engineering test reports and other technical information used to present for certification.
  5. Excellent communication and IT skills specifically Microsoft Office packages.
