Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at First Recruitment Group. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in nuclear mechanical systems commissioning and a strong understanding of project management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute commissioning tests with safety implications, ensuring meticulous control, witnessing, recording, and assessment.
  2. Deliver commissioning work scope according to an agreed strategy and plan, prioritizing timely and cost-effective completion.
  3. Maintain a proactive approach to safety (nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental) throughout the commissioning process.
  4. Review commissioning progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  5. Manage day-to-day liaison with personnel to secure necessary permissions and minimize project impact.
  6. Review commissioning test results for accuracy and compliance.
  7. Provide input into other project processes, including design, HAZOP, risk assessment, contract management, estimating, and knowledge management.

Requirements:

  1. Demonstrable experience in nuclear mechanical systems commissioning.
  2. Minimum HNC/HND in an Engineering-related subject or equivalent qualification.
  3. Previous experience in nuclear commissioning.
  4. Knowledge of project management principles, preferably a member of the Association for Project Management (APM).
  5. Proficiency in producing calculations using Microsoft Excel.

Design Tools/Software: Proficiency in using the latest editions of Microsoft Office software.
