CAMHS Children Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a CAMHS Children Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and young people in the borough of Hillingdon.
As a member of our team, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to assess and deliver evidence-based interventions in educational settings. You will also work in partnership with schools and colleges to support the wellbeing and mental health needs of students.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and vibrant individual who is passionate about improving health outcomes for children and young people. You will have a strong background in mental health, with experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
- Work in partnership with children, young people, and their families to support the self-management of presenting difficulties.
- Develop and implement plans for intervention and agreed outcomes in collaboration with children, young people, and their families.
- Support and empower children, young people, and their families to make informed choices about the interventions being offered.
- Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioner or CYP Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker with additional CBT or other relevant therapy postgraduate qualification.
- Experience of working with children and young people who have social, emotional, and/or behavioural difficulties.
- Experience of delivering specific low-intensity therapeutic interventions to children, young people, or their families.
- Ability to conduct assessments and deliver interventions in educational settings.
- Ability to work within educational settings to increase mental health awareness among staff.
We offer a competitive salary of £32,720 to £39,769 per annum, inclusive of HCAS. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
