Job Title: Programme Director

Job Summary:

The Wellcome Sanger Institute is seeking two world-leading scientists to lead Science Programmes in Cellular Genetics and Human Genetics. As a Programme Director, you will be responsible for setting and leading the execution of a clear vision for your Programme, aligning this with the wider goals and direction of the Institute.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small faculty team and contribute to the Institute's Leadership Team
  • Manage a research team and set a clear vision for the Programme
  • Align the Programme with the Institute's goals and direction
  • Contribute to the Institute's commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
  • Encourage external partnerships and collaborations
