About the Role

Oxwash is seeking a reliable Ad Hoc Delivery Driver to support our operations in Swindon. The ideal candidate will have a clean Category C driving license and experience in customer-facing courier or delivery roles.

The role involves operating a Luton-style and large panel van, collecting and delivering laundry to and from our facility in Swindon and our clients in London, Oxford, and Cambridge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the efficient delivery of all assigned tasks to achieve on-time delivery.
  • Complete weekly van checks and report any issues to the appropriate person.
  • Provide clear communication to internal stakeholders regarding any issues encountered.
Quality and Customer Experience
  • Ensure all items arrive at the customer in the same state they left the facility.
  • Uphold the positive image of the brand at all times in a public-facing role.
  • Support customer queries with Account Managers.
  • Communicate changes to delivery times to Account Managers and the Logistics Manager or site manager.
  • Handle customer information with sensitivity and discretion.
Safety
  • Wear correct PPE and uniform.
  • Report accidents, incidents, and near misses to the line manager.
  • Drive and deliver in compliance with the highway code and Oxwash's SOPs.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of driving experience and a full driving license with a maximum of 6 points.
  • Experience in delivery driving or courier work and/or driving experience in 7.5 tonne and Category C vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and adaptability skills.
  • A team player with enthusiasm and a willingness to muck in.

We will provide all the training you need to be successful in your role.

A salary of £12.00 per hour, 30 days' holiday (pro-rated based on hours worked) + 1 Mental Health Day off, uniform and equipment provided by Oxwash, and an allowance to buy work-related equipment are some of the benefits of working with Oxwash.
