Role Summary
This permanent, part-time Secretary to the Governing Body role is responsible for providing administrative support to the governing body, ensuring meetings are run smoothly, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Tasks:
  • Co-ordinate meetings, preparing agendas, and distributing papers.
  • Record accurate minutes and action points for approval.
  • Support the Chairman and Governing Body with governance matters, providing informed guidance.
  • Develop and maintain a Governance Risk Management Register, regularly reviewing and reporting to the Governing Body and relevant committees.
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenditure, and oversee contracts.

Requirements:
  • Degree (or higher) in a relevant field.
  • GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade A*-C) or Essential Skills Level 2, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years' experience in a secretarial role supporting a Board, Corporate Body, or Senior Management, including committee clerk duties.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Full driving licence valid in Northern Ireland and access to a car for business purposes.

The estimated salary for this role is £30,296 - £33,945 (Pro-rata), based on a 30 hour per week contract.
