Job Title: Academic Healthcare Leader

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced clinical educator to join our team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Academic Healthcare Leader, you will play a key role in delivering academic programmes in partnership with the University of Sunderland.

You will lead on the delivery, development, and provision of BSc Professional pathway modules, working alongside the Programme Lead to ensure seamless programme delivery. Your expertise will be utilised to develop learning and teaching related to evidence-based nursing and research theory, leadership, and management.

You will have the opportunity to develop the role in relation to student experience, leadership, and learning & teaching excellence, contributing towards the future Research Excellence Framework and Teaching Excellence Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively undertake a lead role in learning & teaching of academic and clinical programmes delivered at the Northumbria Health and Care Academy.
  • To enhance the reputation of the Northumbria Health and Care Academy and University of Sunderland as a centre of excellence by engaging with teaching, reach-out, and research programmes in nursing and health-related topics.
Requirements:
  • 1st Level Registered Nurse with effective NMC registration or Allied health professional with effective HPCP registration/ 1st Level Registered Midwife with effective NMC registration.
  • Educated to degree level in Nursing or a related subject.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related subject area (Masters study).
  • Higher Education teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE).
  • Higher Education Academy Fellowship status.
  • Professional Nursing Advocate.
