Finance Director & Company Secretary Opportunity
Our client, a reputable privately owned business in rural Derbyshire, seeks an experienced Finance Director and Company Secretary to partner with the Managing Director in leading the £50m turnover industrial processing business.
The successful candidate will provide financial leadership to the Group and statutory duties of Company Secretary. Key responsibilities include driving a cultural shift towards data-driven commercial decision making and offering strategic financial advice to the owning family on various matters, including investments.
We are looking for an individual with experience as a statutory Finance Director and Company Secretary. A background in senior leadership within privately owned companies, preferably under single family ownership, would be advantageous. While experience in industrial manufacturing or a similar sector is beneficial, it is not essential.
Desirable qualifications include CIMA or ACCA certification. Depending on experience, the annual salary can reach up to approximately £100k plus benefits. As a key member of the management team, the Finance Director will be required to work 5 days a week from the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial leadership of the Group
- Statutory duties of Company Secretary
- Cultural change on the use of data for better commercial decision making
- Financial advice to the owning family on a wide range of matters
