About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced lawyer to join our team as a Senior Lawyer - Company Secretariat. This is a key role that requires a high level of commercial acumen and experience in company secretariat, data protection, and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice to the business on commercial contracts, capital investment projects, and other matters affecting the company.
  • Manage external legal advisors and ensure that the company's statutory obligations are met.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate with the board of directors to advise on statutory obligations and potential liabilities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years' post-qualified experience as a lawyer or solicitor with authority to practice in England & Wales.
  • Commercial legal acumen, ideally gained in the Energy or Chemical industry.
  • Experience of dealing with environments where Health & Safety implications are significant.
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, able to communicate at all levels of an organization.
Estimated Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £95,000 per annum, based on national averages and industry standards.
