Job Summary
We are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to work on our Stroke Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team providing individualised, evidence-based stroke care to patients.
About the Role
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. Your duties will include greeting patients, taking bloods, performing ECGs, recording observations, and communicating with patients and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and families in a welcoming and respectful manner
- Take blood samples and perform ECGs as required
- Record patient observations and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working in a healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- GCSE A to G or Functional Skills in English and Maths (Level 1 or equivalent)
Salary: £22,000-£28,000 per annum
