Job Title: Lead Security Consultant

At Barclays Bank PLC, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Security Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for spearheading the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence in security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, mitigate, and remediate security weaknesses in technology solutions, infrastructure, and platform security.
  • Develop and implement a secure systems and architecture across a broad set of security domains, including data security, security risk management, asset security, security architecture and engineering, communications and networks, security operations, software development, security assurance testing, and identity and access management.
  • Provide timely communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Enable DevSecOps (and shift left) by providing engagement channels for customers and stakeholders who wish to engage early seeking security advice and input into their business plans and opportunities.
  • Support and guidance to CISO, CIO, and Product Team functions providing security reviews for prospective 3rd party technology products and services.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in identifying, mitigating, and remediating security weaknesses in technology solutions, infrastructure, and platform security.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence solutions.
  • Job-specific technical skills, including risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology.
  • Additional experience in securing Cloud and Big Data platforms, securing Generative AI solutions, or a CISSP certification is highly valued.
