We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Security Consultant to join our team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in shaping our digital landscape and driving innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the evolution of our digital security strategy, identifying and mitigating security weaknesses in technology solutions, infrastructure, and platform security.
  • Develop and implement secure systems and architecture across a broad set of security domains, including data security, security risk management, asset security, and security operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to support incident response and investigations, sharing security insights and expertise.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures aligned to our risk tolerance, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
Vice President Expectations
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in identifying, mitigating, and remediating security weaknesses in technology solutions, infrastructure, and platform security.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to influence solutions.
  • Job-specific technical skills, including experience in securing Cloud and Big Data platforms, securing Generative AI solutions, or a CISSP certification.
