About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team on Snowdrop Ward at Walton Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to older adults with organic mental illness.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with all aspects of their daily living needs, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Assist in the delivery of support to individuals who may present with challenging behavior.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Provide person-centered care, enabling individuals to make choices and live as independently as possible.
  • Work on a shift basis, including weekends and bank holidays, with flexible working considered.

Person Specification

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • NVQ level 2 in health and social care or equivalent.
  • Care Certificate.
  • Best Practice in Dementia or equivalent.
  • Previous care experience within health or social care.
  • Previous mental health and dementia care experience, minimum 6 months.
